Shawn Winter, PiiComm’s CMO and chief product evangelist took the stage at GTEC 2014 to share his thoughts on enterprise mobility best practices designed to de-risk enterprise mobility projects. Despite competing with a major keynote speaker, the session was well-attended. Judging by their attentiveness, audience participants were there to learn more.
Several key points were discussed:
Based on our research, IT project failure rates are still very high. In the realm of mobile IT deployments, PiiComm has been recognized by customers and industry observers alike for the discipline we deliver to organizations whom are moving to mobile. In fact compared to traditional IT, the wireless aspects of mobility, add a whole new layer of complexity for organizations and their IT departments.
Since 2007 PiiComm has focused on developing skilled staff and team members, in the mobility domain, so we can close skills gaps for our customers. We can deliver, not only the right skill-set but now after eight years the experience to know how to execute. Our staff development program covers three categories. These are where we believe we can deliver the most value for organizations planning to deploy fleets of mobile devices:
Our operational support systems and customer self-serve web tools are continually delivering maximum benefit for customers. Customers need real-time information and graphical-based dashboards. They need actionable information to understand how their mobile fleets are performing. Proactively, this data allows management to easily spot trends before they become problems.
Our business is built on delivering the highest quality work at a much lower cost that our customers can. Our scale and focus on enterprise mobility allows us to invest in and develop automation tools to accelerate metrics such as time-to-deploy, time-to-repair and time-to-replace to name a few.
Everything we do is documented and adheres to strict process flows. The granularity of these processes allows us to deliver the benefits of standardization while at the same time allowing for customization. What that means for customers is that we can deliver as much or as little as they require.
